Each year members of AIR compete in the the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics competition. This competition provides an affordable, accessible opportunity to participate in FIRST. It creates a bridge between the FIRST LEGO® League and the FIRST Robotics Competition.

We represent FTC Team 121, Rhode Rage, in competitions throughout the country.  Every fall, the FTC game design committee releases a new game challenge for the teams to play.  Games challenges increase in difficulty year to year; new robot parts, sensors, and more difficult autonomous periods.

Each year the team competes in regional championships to qualify for the World Championship in Atlanta, Georgia.  In the 2007-2008 season, Rhode Rage won the RI State FTC Championship to earn a spot in only the team’s second season competing.  Hard work and learning by doing is how we are able to be such a competitive team.
